Well I haven't been blogging as much as I'd like to. My kids have been keeping me extra busy. And my 1 year old thinks that my computer is a big pretty toy and have messed a few things up. We had a tragic accident that happend right across the street from our home. I'm not sure who all is from Ohio but if you are you have probably seen the news about the oil well exploding on Sunday afternoon and two men being killed. Well that oil well is right across the street from our home and one of the men killed was my husbands uncle. We went right over when we seen the explosions knowing that his uncle would have been back there but when we got close only my husband went close because a neighbor said that only two of the tanks blew and another one could so I waited impatiently for my husband to come back out. He came out and said it was an awful sight he actually seen his uncle laying already dead on fire and there was nothing he could do. It scared me so bad because my husband and father in law work on those wells on the side to and it could have been them back there with the others. I feel so sorry for the whole family. His wife is such a nice lady and they have four children and one grandchild. So please all of you keep the whole family in your thoughts and prayers during this hard time. And that was also the day my husband was going to fix his brakes but didn't get a chance to because of all that was going on and he left for work Monday morning and the brakes went out and he crashed into a tree. Luckily he wasn't going very fast and it was right down the road so he wasn't hurt to badly just a black eye and a busted eyebrow. He is doing just fine now. So it has defiantly been a hectic week around here. Well gotta go for now but hopefully I'll be back on soon.
I'm very excited! Kath over at the Olde Weeping Cedar tagged me. This is also my first time being tagged by somebody! So I am supposed to 1. Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog. 2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. 3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blog. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
1. I absolutely hate mornings. If I could sleep all day and stay up all night that would make me happy! But impossible with having 3 small children.
2. I am a salt fanatic. I put salt on everything. Well you know there is limits like ice cream!
3. Me and my husband went to Jr high together and lost touch for about 5 years then met up at a party and have been inseparable every since.
4. I dream of living on a big farm.
5. I know its weird but I love the smell that comes from a horse barn. The smell of the hay and straw and heck even the poo LOL now I'm just being gross!
6. I am a very shy person and I'm not very good at making friends because I'm so quiet and shy people think I'm stuck up but I'm really very down to earth!
7. I am addicted to Hallmark movies. It is very rare for me to watch one that I do not like.
Well there ya go. I know I'm a very boring person. My sister says I am a 80 year old lady trapped in a 24 year olds body. So here are my 7 people to tag....

I just love mums!! Another one of my favorite things about fall!! I went to a local farmers market just down the road and got a pretty good deal on these. The owner actually goes to my church so I know him pretty well. I got these 3 mums for 20 bucks. The red one is HUGE and it actually was a very very bold deep red color but the sun has faded it before I got to take pics. I got a rusty orange colored one to but I cant seem to find the pic of it. I LOVE the bright yellow one!! It actually kills me to have to buy mums now cause I'm used to getting them for a dollar or two. But since my stepdad passed away last year my mom no longer runs the store/flea market where they sold mums and pumpkins and seasonal produce. I just love this time of the year because it reminds me of my step dad (but always felt like my real dad) I always went with him and my mom to the auctions and wholesale places where they bought mums and such. I always knew I would get to pick out what I wanted when we got back before they put it up for sale. I knew if I batted my eyelashes and stuck my lip out far enough that he would let me pick out any of it. Ok ok I admit I was way spoiled by him even as an adult.
Well at least I dont have to buy pumpkins this year it looks like I have a few growing out back right behind my deck. Ever since they put our new house in at this time last year I have pumpkins and gourds and squash growing all the way around my house. It must be where they tilled up the soil around the house and we never did get to planting the grass like we should have. And I'll admit I kind of just let the pumpkins and gourds rot that I had for decoration last year and so now instead of grass we have all these growing. The first pic is one that just started growing by my front steps. The other two are by my back deck.
I got all this Indian corn for 2 bucks from an amish girl that has a roadside stand right up the road. She sells her stuff so cheap!!
Ok Mary over at Gettysburg Homestead shared six things about her and wanted everybody that hasn't done it yet to do it.Its very funny cause I read hers and it sounded a lot like myself. So here I go and no judging:)
1. Like Mary I have no female friends that are not family members. My sister, cousin and mother and mother in law are the only girlfriends that I have. And NONE of them are interested in primitives or crafts so that's why I'm so happy to have found this place. Now I have me some online girls!!
2.I am addicted to sweets. I don't just mean that I like them a lot. I have a problem of getting up in the middle of the night and eating 3 4 or 5 cupcakes (that I told my hubby not to buy) while I'm still half asleep. I think I made need a lock on my pantry door where the key is hid from me.
3. I was already pregnant with my youngest son Lincoln when I got my tubes tied and had no idea.I had Landon and they messed up some paperwork that caused me not to be able to get the surgery right after so a couple months later I got the pregnancy test it was negative they did the surgery and 10 days later I'm in the emergency room cause of pain they did some tests and found out I was about 5 weeks pregnant!!! So here he is!!
4.My dream is to one day visit Maine! I dont know but for some reason I just have this bueatiful picture of me and my hubby livin by the water when we are older and retired and the kids are all grown up!!Which actually makes the next comment kind of strange
5. My biggest fear is water. I love to look at it but I mean I will go swimming in a pool and stuff but will you catch me out on a boat? I think not. My hubby hates it too cause he wants me to go fishin out on the lake and go on a cruise but no thank you!! I dont think its just the water itself I think its not knowing whats in the water!!
6.And this is the last but probably saddest. Between my first and second son a had a daughter,Riley. She got very sick at about 2 weeks old and I had to stay at Childrens Hospital with her for about 3 weeks where she passed away from pertussis (whooping cough). She wasnt old enough to have the first vaccine for it yet.She is now my little angel. Its a strange situation cause when people ask me how many kids I have I want to say 4 cause I feel like I'm leaving her out if I say I have 3 kids. So usually my response is Oh I have 3 boys. She is gone but will never be forgotton!!
Ok I'm so excited!! Yesterday was my birthday and my hubby bought me the best thing ever. My first crock!! We were on our way to the campgrounds and there was a yard sale he wanted to stop at and I was out browsing through all the stuff and couldnt find a thing I liked. Well as I was walking away I seen the crock out of the corner of my eye sitting under some old clothes that were hanging up. My husband knew I seen it and asked the lady what she wanted for it. She told him $50.00 and not a penny less. She said she really didnt want to get rid of it but she was moving to a very small place and just didnt have room for it. She told me it was very old and that her great uncle used to make pickles in it. Well we didnt have the 50 bucks (or so I thought) so we left and I was a little dissapointed. We got to the campgrounds and my husband and father in law said they had some business to take care of at the office with some paperwork to fill out so they had to go. Well about half an hour lady here comes my hubby lugging the huge crock that I wanted so bad!!! I got very excited and wanted to go home just to find a place to put it in my house LOL He is so sweet. He did so much for my birthday this year because with having had 4 kids it was the first birthday I havent been pregnant in 5 years! Well now ladies I need a little help from you I really couldnt find any info on this crock. I found one page that I'm not sure if it is the right place or not Here is the link www.ci.akron.oh.us/AkronHistoryTrails/pdf/aht_final.pdf It is in adobe reader It is page 9 out of 18 called An Industrial Trail Akrons Ceramics Industry If you guys could find any info on this let me know!!Heres some pics of my crock Im guessing its about a 20 or 30 gallon I'm not sure but its huge!! This is the marking on the front of it Yeah Landon thinks its funny to throw his bottle in it then cry cause he cant reach it LOL It says Merrill & CO Akron O
Oh I just love fall and in the little bit of time I've had to myself I started to decorate my house a bit.I wish I could leave the fall decorations out year round. I love all the colors and it makes my house feel a little more cozy. These are the first pictures that Ive posted of my house and please excuse the toys and diapers and such laying all around LOL Having two of my kids in diapers and still on the bottle doesn't give me much time to do anything especially clean my house and when it comes down to it Id much rather decorate for fall then clean. Would it be wrong of me if I just covered up the mess with some pretty red and orange fallen leaves from the trees?LOL :) My house isn't really prim the way I would like it to be yet but we are just starting out in this new house and I haven't go to paint the walls yet and well you all know that decorating your home in prim or antiques can get very expensive. This is just a start of my autumn decorating so I hope you enjoy my pics let me know what you think. Oh and if your wondering why I don't have anything on my lower shelves or benches that would be because my 1 year old thinks mommy's prettys are for throwing like a baseball!!Oh the joys of motherhood! And here is that little 1 year old Landon enjoying his daily breakfast of cereal and a banana. He would flip out if he woke up and had no banana for breakfast. Well sorry ladies my cameras batteries decided to die on me so this is all I can post at the time.Im gonna try to find some more and Ill be back to post more pics.
Well I thought I would share some of the things that my hubby has made me for around the house. He is so proud that I am showing his creations off on my blog. I am grateful for everything he makes though!!I'm gonna try to find a quilt for the ladder and maybe a prim doll and I defiantly need to prim up the window to.Maybe I could get him to make me something to have my own giveaway on here!!
Hi everyone I am new to the whole blog thing so work with me. I just love viewing everybody's blogs so I thought I would create one of my own. I hope you all will find something that interests you here.
